I've loved writing as long as I can remember. When I discovered a local chapter of RWA, I started on my way to fulfilling a life-long dream. After placing in several RWA contests, I bit the bullet and starting sending in manuscripts. To my surprise, people liked them! LOL
Why erotic romance? Because I was tired of reading about virgins being deflowered -- how sexy is that? Not! (And frankly, I think the sweet, 'sorry, honey--you'll love it in a minute' scenes give young women the wrong impression of what, in reality, is usually an unsatisfying experience.)
I give you a strong, worldly heroine with real desires that will make you sweat. Sure, I love a happy ending...my stories deliver that, too. They also give the reader adventure and a spicy connection between the characters that may be unconventional. I hope you find the change of pace exciting.
Now, every piece I write is run through my critique group whom I absolutely adore. Sometimes, they don't have much input, but when they do, it's golden! Thanks to Sheri, Jen, Tammy, Mira, Trista, Linda, Dee, Lesley, and the rest who come and go within our little family. I don't know what I'd do without your support.
Having lived on the east coast all my life, from New Hampshire to North Carolina, I've met characters -- oops -- people from all walks of life. Currently, I live in the inner coastal area of North Carolina with my wonderful, industrious husband, two teenagers, and a lovable golden retriever. My days are as ordinary as yours...laundry, errands, keeping track of my kids, trying not to raid the fridge every five minutes, etc. It's just my imagination that makes me unique!
