INTERVIEW WITH EROTIC ROMANCE WRITER JAYNE RYLON:
Thanks for having me Elayne! It's an honor to be the guest in your newsletter. *waves* Hello, out there readers!
Why/how did you get started writing romance?
I've always been an avid reader. My husband asked me offhandedly one day why I didn't try to write a book since I
read so many. Little did he know that I'd written a book waaaaay back in seventh or maybe eighth grade. Then I
finished school, and went to college and went back to college for a Masters degree. I didn't read or write other than
school stuff for nearly ten years! That one offhanded comment at the perfect time had me seriously considering the
idea and it wasn't long before I dove in. If he only knew what he was about to start! Through some fabulous friends
(including you!) I got involved in a critique group that guided me the rest of the way to getting published. It still makes
me giggle a little to know people read and enjoy what I've written. I couldn't be more thrilled.
Do you have a favorite genre to read or write?
I adore to read, pretty much anything will do, but I do prefer erotic romantic suspense and menage both to read and
write. My favorite author has to be Suzanne Brockmann. If I can write characters that involve people even a fraction of
how hers speak to me then I'll be satisfied.
I'm a big fan of Suzanne Brockmann too. I love how she weaved the stories of two different generations together
in her early Seal books. And her alpha males...mmmm. But you've got some hotties too. We'll get to them in a
minute.
What are your long-term writing goals?
I think I've narrowed it down to one goal when it comes to writing. Someday I'd like to write as my full time profession.
I have a demanding career outside of my passion for writing and I'd love to focus on being an author if I could.
Tell us about your recent release and what you're working on next.
I have about ten tricks up my sleeve at the moment :P It's been kind of a recurring theme lately but at this very second
(okay, as soon as I finish this interview), I'm working on Men in Blue 3 - Mistress's Master which is Jeremy Radisson's
story. It might be the dirtiest book I've ever written. Oopsy. In addition, I'm in the middle of a four-book series co-
written with the fantabulous Mari Carr! It's really exciting to work with an author I love to read and someone who's
become a great friend. Our first Compass Brothers book, Northern Exposure, will go live on March 15th! I can't wait!

All roads lead home when that’s where you’ve left your heart.
Compass Brothers, Book 1
Silas Compton always had his eye on Lucy, the veterinarian’s daughter. He was even
content to wait for the girl of his dreams to grow up before getting anywhere near her
with his family’s double-edged legacy.
Waiting around led to fooling around with his best friend—and an impulsive eruption of desire that Lucy’s innocent eyes
weren’t meant to see. Figuring Compton Pass wasn’t big enough for either the three of them or the pain he’d caused,
Silas lets loose his tightly reined wanderlust and headed for Alaska.
Ten years later, when an oil rig accident sends him home, he braces himself for the reopening of old wounds. Instead he
finds himself in the care—and welcoming arms—of Lucy and Colby, whose marriage has plenty of room for the man they
both still love. And forgive with all their hearts.
As things start to unravel at Compass Ranch, Silas must dig deep for the strength to assume his rightful place in the
Compton family…and lay the foundation for a future with his lovers. If he can forgive himself.
Product Warnings: This book is overflowing with sexy cowboys who like to saddle up and ride each other as well as the
woman of their dreams. The likelihood of becoming addicted to their ranch family is high. With three more stories yet to
come, beware. You won’t be able to read just one!
Thanks, Jayne. You've got me hooked. Have fun writing the rest of the series!
